Steering Committee

The Steering Committee

The Steering Committee comprises eleven (11) members representing working group members from the 6 geopolitical zones, women-led, men-led, youth-led and persons living with disabilities led organisations respectively were elected by other members of the working group who had attended and participated in the CSSRI onboarding meeting which held on May 19, 2022. The committee oversees the coordination of affairs of the working group while the Nigeria Network of NGOs functions as the secretariat to provide support as and when needed. The committee meets bimonthly to deliberate on affairs of the Initiative.

DAVID AWOTIPE

David Awotipe FIMC,CMC

Director General – Odua Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture

Until his appointment as the Director General, David Awotipe served as the Group Managing Director of Mayframe Group, which comprises of Mayframe Investment Ltd (A sub-broking and financial management company), Mayframe Consultancy Services (an entrepreneurship and business development Company), Mayframe driving academy :(a professional driving school in Nigeria based in Osogbo, Osun state), Mayframe farms and Mayframe Property Development Ltd.

With over 18 years working experience cutting across Administration, Property Development, Banking, Marketing, Business Development and Agric value chain management.
He has garnered experience in Entrepreneurship, Human Capital Development and Consulting. He also a member of the Steering Committee on Civil Society Self-Regulatory Initiative (CSSRI).

AMB. PEGGY CHUKWUEMEKA

Grace Ese Obakina is a Certified Community Guide-Nigeria AIDS Indicator and Impact Survey (NAIIS) by the University of Maryland Baltimore and Consortium Partners, 2018. She is an Ambassador for Peace from the United Nations on Peace Operations Training Institute, 2019 and a Certified Nigeria Amnesty International Volunteer, 2019. Edo State Coordinator, White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood and South-South Coordinator, Coalition of Young Females in Leadership, Amb. Grace is the Executive Director, Caring Heart Initiative.

ALABIDUN MAHFUZ

Alabidun Mahfuz is the Founder and Executive Director of the INMATES EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION, a foundation that is specifically aimed at bringing education closer to the inmates and juveniles ensuring that both are well educated to enable them to forge ahead in life with a liberated mind. He is an Award Winner who advocates for the implementation of the SDG.

He is a Postgraduate student of the Educational Management Studies department, Lagos State University. He is passionate about bettering the management of education in all spheres concerning established theories and practice. He is a member of the Steering Committee.
